About Ashley

Ashley Bailey is a performing arts teacher and music director based in the Bay Area. 

 

Ashley holds a B.M. in Music Theater from Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music, and has more than 20 years of experience working with voice, piano, and acting. She has performed in regional theater productions in the Cleveland and Philadelphia areas, with companies such as Great Lakes Theater Company, Cleveland Public Theater, Bucks County Playhouse, and The Beck Center for The Arts. Favorite roles include Belle ("Beauty & the Beast"), Nina ("The Seagull"), Laurie ("Oklahoma"), and Serena ("Legally Blonde").

 

In addition to her stage experience, Ashley has been featured in national and regional commercials and short films. Her original songs have been featured in songwriting competitions in Cleveland and Philadelphia.


Ashley served as the in-house music director for several productions at The Limelight Performing Arts Center in West Chester, PA, favorites productions including "Matilda" and "Annie". She currently teaches elementary music at Resurrection School in Sunnyvale and serves on the board of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of NATS (The National Association of Teachers of Singing) as VP of Recitals.

  • Utilization of Alexander technique for mind/body emotional connection

  • Musical Theater, Pop, Classical, and Singer/Songwriter vocal technique (belt, mix, legit soprano, falsetto)

  • Two annual recital opportunities

  • Customized piano backing tracks and transpositions
